Willis Ryder Arnold grew up surrounded by the corn and soybean fields of northern Minnesota, attended Bard College and the CUNY Craig Newmark School of Journalism, and now lives in Portland, Maine. His reporting has included coverage of inequity in arts institutions, the Black Lives Matter movement in Ferguson and St. Louis, MO, and addiction treatment in jails.
