The Maine Public Broadcasting Network will hold and broadcast its Senate debate Wednesday, continuing its journalistic tradition of providing the state with in-depth coverage of statewide political issues.
The debate will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the Gracie Theater on Husson University's Bangor campus, and will be aired live on MPBN television and radio. It will be rebroadcast at 1 p.m. Thursday on MPBN radio and on MPBN television Sunday afternoon.
"Full debate coverage is what our viewers, listeners, and supporters expect of MPBN," MPBN News Director Keith Shortall says. "This year is no different. We are holding the debates as scheduled and urge all those candidates who have qualified for a place on the November 4th Maine ballot to participate. MPBN strongly believes in providing these forums as a public service to our audience, and to the people of Maine.”
