What Mainers Say About Weekend Mass Shootings

Some Maine residents say when it comes to mass shootings, they want more action from elected officials. Others say there’s little to be done to control the violence.

Over the weekend, two shootings in Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso, Texas, killed 31 people and injured dozens more.

In an address from the White House on Monday, President Donald Trump condemned white supremacy and violent video games that he says contributed to the attacks. But he did not propose new gun restrictions or other measures to prevent shootings.
