Robin Rilette's Summer Dreaming Morning Classical Show and Open House

Friday, June 21

Some of the most beautiful and romantic pieces of music ever created can be found in the works of classical composers. And what better way to showcase this music on Morning Classical than on the first day of summer? What classical compositions make up your summer soundtrack? What songs accompany you on your back porch, at camp, on the beach, and on a long car ride on summer's laziest days?

Tell us which classical music piece means summer for you and we will include as many suggestions as possible and create a wonderful playlist for Friday, June 21, the first official day of summer.

If you’d like to dedicate your summery suggestion to someone special, include that in your choice. Submit your selection to us at or on Maine Public's Facebook Page.

If you don’t know the exact spelling, or aren’t sure about the composer or name of your selection, please give us as much information as you can: number of piece, key signature, opus, nickname, etc. We’ll do our best to figure out which piece you mean.

You have until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 19 to participate.

We'd also like you to join us at our Portland Studio on Marginal Way in Portland for a summer open house to meet Robin and some of our new classical hosts: Sydney Anderson, and Aaron Engebreth. The open house starts at Noon and ends at 2:00. We hope to see you there!
