  • Kathie Harper is a former teacher, children's librarian, and literacy specialist who has a passion for books and reading of all kinds. She is currently using her skills as a writer. Outside of her work she enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time at the seashore.
  • William G. Hupper was born in Massachusetts, and spent most of his life there, but has deep historical ties to Maine. He and his wife moved to California in 1996, where he worked in the logistics department of a multinational company for nearly 15 years. After his retirement, he moved to Maine and currently resides in Brewer.
  • Eileen lives in Freeport with her husband Jim and their children Helen and Charlie. Originally from New York, she has been happily transplanted in Maine for 16 years. She is the owner of The Brunswick Inn, an avid foodie, and an aspiring writer.
  • Marge Irvine was born in Brooklyn, New York, and now lives in Brooklin, Maine. Thanks to age and luck, she's managed to avoid hipsters in both of those places. Retired from full-time teaching at the University of Maine, she still teaches one class every fall and continues her work as a scholar and facilitator with the Maine Humanities Council.
  • Dale McCormick is a lover of justice and a player of music. She was born in NYC, grew up in Iowa, where she raised sheep with Old Testament names, graduated from the University of Iowa and began an apprenticeship with the Carpenters Union, and became the first woman in the U.S. to complete it. In 1980 Dale moved to Maine, where She founded Women Unlimited, was the first president of Maine Lesbian Political Alliance (now EqualityMaine), and wrote two books on carpentry and home repair.
