PORTLAND, Maine - A popular science center that has attracted traveling exhibits to Maine's largest city is closing its doors.
 
The Portland Press Herald reports the Portland Science Center is shutting down after nearly three years on the city's waterfront. The center has featured exhibits about subjects such as sharks, pirates and the Titanic.
 

PORTLAND, Maine - A Maine museum is playing host this summer to a traveling collection of pirate artifacts discovered by an underwater explorer trying to shake off criticism that cast him as a reckless treasure hunter.
 
The "Real Pirates'' exhibit brings authentic pirate booty from the ship of Black Sam Bellamy to the Portland Science Center. The wreck of Bellamy's Whydah was discovered by Barry Clifford in 1984.

PORTLAND, Maine - A new museum is coming soon to Portland, and its curators have plans for a major inaugural exhibit.  The Portland Science Center should be opening its doors in the next few weeks, say organizers, and visitors can expect to see the human body as they've probably never seen it before.
