New Initiative Will Train More Maine Nurses To Treat Patients Who Have Been Sexually Assaulted
When a person goes to the hospital after being sexually assaulted, they require special care. Not only to treat their physical injuries, but to collect evidence and provide appropriate emotional support.

The University of New England has launched a new institute dedicated to study of the North Atlantic and the Arctic.
Officials announced Monday that the Institute for North Atlantic Studies of the University of New England will be based in Portland. The Portland Press Herald reports the first students for UNE North will be accepted this summer and classes will begin in summer 2019.
More than 1400 degrees in liberal arts and sciences, medicine, and pharmacy were bestowed upon students at the University of New England on Saturday, in one of the biggest graduation ceremonies of the season.
