St. Mary’s Health System in Lewiston will receive a $10 million donation from the Albert Lepage Foundation, the largest in the hospital’s history.
J. Bradford Coffey, president of St. Mary’s Health Systems Foundation, says Lepage is no stranger to giving to St. Mary’s.
“He’s had a very long relationship with St. Mary’s and cared deeply about all facets of health care at St. Mary’s and in Lewiston and in Auburn,” he says.
Coffey says Lepage served on the board of directors at St. Mary’s for many years and has made several significant gifts to past capital campaigns. The $10 million gift will be issued over the course of Lepage’s lifetime, in $250,000 installments.
The donation will be used to enhance patient experience by improving the atmosphere, technology and access to care.
