Handcuffed Man in Socks Flees Maine Police

OTISFIELD, Maine - Maine state police say they are searching for an Otisfield man who fled a state trooper's car while in handcuffs.

Police say 27-year-old Maxx Noble fled from the car on Tuesday afternoon and they are asking the public for help locating him. Police say Noble was facing several "felony charges'' stemming from an investigation by Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and state police. They apprehended him at an Otisfield residence.

Police say Noble unbuckled his seatbelt, unlocked the cruiser door and fled into the woods wearing only socks on his feet while two troopers were inside a residence. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants and has tattoos on his face and neck.

Police say they've searched for Noble with dogs and alerted neighbors.
