Social Media Murder Trial Delayed by I-95 Accident

BANGOR, Maine - The trial of a Maine man accused to using social media to lure a teen to her death is getting back underway after a delay caused by a 70-car pile-up on Interstate 95.

The trial of 21-year-old Kyle Dube, of Orono, was scheduled to enter its third day Wednesday morning. Dube is charged with killing and abducting 15-year-old Nichole Cable in May 2013. The accident - on I-95 in Etna - delayed the trial, in part, because Dube's lawyers were stuck in traffic. The accident shut down the northbound lanes for hours.

The trial is resuming Wednesday afternoon with more testimony from witnesses.

Prosecutors say DNA evidence ties Dube to Cable's kidnapping and murder. Dube's lawyers say that someone other than their client killed Nichole.
