Man Charged In Fatal Parking Lot Shooting Held Without Bail

A Maine judge is ordering a 21-year-old man held without bail in the wake of his arrest stemming from a fatal shooting in a parking lot.

Police charged Gage Dalphonse, of Auburn, with murder after the death of 41-year-old Jean Fournier, of Turner. They say Dalphonse shot Fournier twice in the back following an argument in the parking lot of a Walmart in Auburn on the night of July 27.

Dalphonse made his first court appearance Friday and the judge held him without bail pending a probable cause and bail hearing. The Sun Journal reports that hearing is not yet scheduled.

Dalphonse is represented by attorney Leonard Sharon, who did not return a phone call seeking comment on Friday.
