Maine Reports A Net Of 29 Additional COVID-19 Cases, No New Deaths

The overall number of COVID-19 cases Maine has logged since the pandemic's onset grew by 29 overnight to 4,197.  The number of deaths remained unchanged at 127.That's according to new numbers the Maine Center for Disease Control posted Monday on its website.

They show that a total of 3,638 Mainers have recovered from the illness, 14 more than Sunday.  That leaves 432 active cases that the state is tracking, an increase overnight of 15.

Ten Mainers with COVID-19 are hospitalized, three of them in intensive care. One person is on a ventilator.

The Maine CDC's next coronavirus briefing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.
