UPDATE: Maine Man Dies in Quebec Plane Crash; 2 Injured

WATERVILLE, Maine - Authorities say a Maine man died when the seaplane he was piloting crashed in the forest in Quebec.

The Morning Sentinel reports  that 68-year-old William McKay was killed in the crash on Tuesday near Lake St. Pierre. The lake is about 50 miles north of Baie-Comeau, a city on the St. Lawrence River.

McKay's 34-year-old daughter and 45-year-old son-in-law were injured in the crash, but were able to walk away from the site to get help. They were found by forestry workers on a gravel highway.

The two are receiving treatment for their injuries at the hospital and are expected to recover. Their names are being withheld.

Officials say the three were flying from one lake to another during a fishing trip when the plane crashed.
