SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (AP) _ Environmental advocates will give residents a chance to drive electric cars at Maine Drive Electric Day in South Portland.
The event takes place Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the South Portland Community Center. It will include a fleet of dozens of electric cars that will be available to ride and drive. Professionals will also be on hand to explain how electric cars work. The event is part of Plug-in America's National Drive Electric Day and is co-sponsored by the Natural Resources Council of Maine.
The resources council suggests pre-registration for the event.
