Agreement Reached Between Calais Regional Hospital, Nurses Union

Nov 12, 2020

Calais Regional Hospital says it has reached a tentative agreement with the Maine State Nurses Union, averting a strike that was promised later this month if the hospital didn’t shift from its stance on two issues.

A hospital spokesperson says in a release that consensus had been reached on the two sticking points: paid time off for employees and the cost of employees’ out-of-pocket health insurance.

The agreement, if ratified, would be good for two years.
