Maine Reports 34 More Cases Of COVID-19, No New Deaths

Maine is now reporting a total of 3,253 cases of COVID-19, 34 more than Monday. The death tally remained steady at 105.  According to new figures the Maine Center for Disease Control released Tuesday, 2,646 people have recovered from the virus, an increase of 23 since Monday. That leaves a total of 502 active cases in Maine.

Most of the new cases were diagnosed in Cumberland and York counties.

The cumulative total of people who have had to be hospitalized at some point during their illness rose by 1 to 348. Twenty-nine Mainers are currently hospitalized, nine of them in intensive care. Four are on ventilators.

The Maine CDC's next coronavirus briefing is scheduled for Wednesday.
