Proceeds benefit Project Feed (Food Emergency Exchange Depot), an emergency food pantry located in Portland, Maine in the basement of Woodfords Congregational UCC Church. A non-profit founded in 1975 by a group of clergy and lay-people concerned with the growing number of Portland residents who were without a reliable source of food in emergencies, they are supported by many individuals and organizations including churches and synagogues in the Greater Portland area and are staffed completely by volunteers.
