Birding Walk

Birding Walk
Join Lake Auburn Watershed Protection Commission and Maine Master Naturalist Christine Murray on a guided birding walk! Plenty of birds pass by Lake Auburn on their migratory routes, and we'll be keeping our eyes and ears open for migrating and resident birds alike.
No experience or tools necessary, though binoculars may be helpful if you have them. The walk will go for about two hours, but if you need to leave early that's okay too! We'd love to have you join. For more information and to RSVP, visit this link: https://conta.cc/3YKviiJ or email lakeauburnwater@lakeauburnwater.org.
We will begin our walk at the south entrance of Whitman Spring Road Trail. Whitman Spring Road Trail is a wide dirt road, mostly flat but with some steeper sections. To reach the south entrance, turn onto Whitman Spring Road from West Auburn Road and continue on until you reach a gate. Parking is available in a small area to the right of the gate, and is also allowed on the side of the road as you approach. Please do not block the trail gate.
