Creating Communities of Compassion

Creating Communities of Compassion

The intersection of domestic abuse, healthcare, and law enforcement

The intersection of domestic abuse, healthcare, and enforcement is one of the most difficult challenges facing our communities today. Learn more about how organizations right here in midcoast Maine are working together to overcome domestic abuse and support those in our communities who grapple with this concern day after day. This special event includes our new film featuring the stories of two survivors of domestic abuse followed by a panel discussion including Rebekah Paredes, Executive Director from New Hope Midcoast, Julie LeBlanc, the Regional Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Program Coordinator at MaineHealth Waldo, Pen Bay, and Lincoln Hospitals, Detective Matthew Ryan of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, as well as a client featured in the film. Audience questions are encouraged.

Don’t miss this free and informative event!
Light refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome!
