On Sunday December 10, the Museum will offer free admission to all Maine residents! Please bring proof of residency (drivers license or utility bill).

From the world’s foremost collection of meteorites to the most extensive collection of Maine minerals and geologic specimens in the United States, MMGM tells the fascinating stories of our natural world. Explore thousands of exquisite objects, from Maine to the Milky Way. MMGM collections – from minerals to meteorites to books, videos and more – are real-time subjects of critical research, informing and inspiring the scientific, creative, and educational communities of today and tomorrow.

The Museum offers four free admission days per year; this is the last free admission day for 2023. Visiting the Museum and exploring the exhibits takes about an hour to an hour and a half and the last admission to the exhibits is at 4 pm.
