Virtual MDI Science Café: Science Communication in a Polluted Online Environment
MDI Biological Laboratory’s next Science Café takes on science communications in a polluted social media environment with former New York Times reporter Andrew Revkin, who now runs Columbia University’s Initiative on Communication Innovation and Impact. The April 10 event also features Elisabeth Marnik, Ph.D. (@sciencewhizliz), a researcher/educator at Husson University and MDI Bio Lab who is an active online defender of scientific knowledge.
They will discuss the benefits and dangers of social media for science communication, while considering strategies and tactics that scientists and the rest of us can use to make research relevant, heard, and trusted.
Join us for the online event on Monday April 10 at 5 pm. Register here to receive the Zoom link: https://mdibl.org/event/science-communication-in-a-polluted-online-environment/
