The Maine state police are attributing the deaths of two people in Searsmont yesterday to a murder-suicide.
50-year-old Amy Nickerson and 50-year-old Lance Lucas were found dead Monday afternoon by Waldo County sheriff's deputies. The medical examiner ruled Nickerson's death a homicide, and Lucas's death a suicide.
State police say the two were domestic partners, and had recently broken up.
