Drug Paraphernalia Found with Biddeford Bodies

BIDDEFORD, Maine — State and local police are investigating the discovery of two dead bodies in a Biddeford, Maine, motel.

The bodies of a 28-year-old Daniel Pelletier and a 31-year-old Lynda Norton were reported in a room at the Sleepy Hollow Motel on U.S. Route 1 at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police say their bodies are now at the medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.

State police spokesman Steve McCausland says there is no indication the deaths are homicides. Biddeford police say drug paraphernalia was found in the room and it appears the female died first. State police may take over the investigation depending on the results of an autopsy.

Police say Pelletier and Norton's last known address was the hotel.
