For second time this year, the American Association of University Professors has protested cutbacks at the University of Southern Maine.
In a letter to USM president David Flanagan, the AAUP expressed concern over program eliminations and faculty layoffs announced last month, casting doubt on the financial reasoning behind the decisions.
A spokesman for USM declined to comment this morning.
