Long-time newscaster and program host Jack Perkins has died at the age of 85.Perkins was an NBC newscaster, based in Los Angeles, who also voiced documentaries, including one about Acadia National Park that Maine Public television aired in 2017.
Perkins retired to an island off Bar Harbor, Maine.
He died Monday at his other home near Sarasota, Florida.
