Police identify person of interest, issue murder warrant in connection with Waterville death

State police are asking residents for help locating Spridal Hubiak, 20, of Waterville, as they investigate a death in the city.

Hubiak is described as a white male with dark hair, and driving a black Ford Taurus, with a Maine license plate with number 4666ZR. He is believed to have fled the state.

Police say a murder warrant has been issued for Hubiak in connection with a death at Damon's Beverage on Jefferson Street in Waterville, prominently visible from Interstate 95. Around 4:30 a.m., an employee reported finding a deceased co-worker inside the building. The victim has not yet been identified. Hubiak also worked at Damon's.

Anyone who spots Hubiak or the vehicle should call Maine State Police or the Waterville Police Department at 624-7076 or 680-4700, respectively.
