Maine CDC Reports 52 New COVID-19 Cases, 1 Death

The Maine Center for Disease Control is reporting 52 new cases of COVID-19 since yesterday, for a cumulative total of 3,154 since the first case was reported in the state in March.

The data include one new fatality — in a man in his 80s from Cumberland County, according to the CDC.

Two-thousand five-hundred sixty six Mainers have recovered from the disease, an increase of 24 since yesterday. Three-hundred forty five Mainers in total have been hospitalized, and of those, 24 are active hospitalizations with seven patients in critical care and five on ventilators.

Of 98,515 total tests reported on the Maine CDC's website, 3,847 came back positive, yielding a positivity rate of 3.9%.
