120 people in Saline County, Kan., spent the night in the sheriff's new jail

MICHEL MARTIN, HOST:

Good morning. I'm Michel Martin. So what did you do Friday night? One hundred and twenty people in Saline County, Kan., spent the night in the sheriff's new jail. The experience was billed as Slumber in the Slammer. For 20 bucks, visitors got a chance to be booked, have a mug shot taken, eat with a rubber spoon and sleep in a cell. One participant told the local news she did not realize what people in jail had to go through. Not clear how many booked return visits, though.
