Maine Outdoor Brands Hires Full-Time Director

PORTLAND, Maine - The Maine Outdoor Brands alliance has hired its first full-time executive director. Jenny Kordick will be leading the nonprofit that aims to build on the state's reputation for hiking, biking and paddling to ignite the state's outdoor recreation economy. Kordick previously worked at The Wilderness Society and the National Wildlife Federation.The alliance was created in 2017.

Its goal of the alliance is "to foster the development of the outdoor brands that call Maine home and to advocate on their behalf in growing the state's outdoor recreation economy," according to spokesperson Katie Wolitarsky.

Alliance members range from large companies like L.L. Bean to niche companies like Good-to-GO that creates gourmet dehydrated meals.
