Mayo Street Arts presents Latin fusion ensemble ALBA Musik with local guest artist Lindsey Bourrasa on Saturday, December 7th. Based in New York, NY, ALBA Musik is Albert Alabedra, Flamenco guitarist and composer and Bárbara Martínez, Flamenco singer, dancer, and music educator at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School in the Bronx.

Meaning “dawn” in Spanish, ALBA is also the title of ALBA Musik’s first album which was a U.S. GRAMMY® nominee for Latin Pop in 2024. Their second album, ALMA was recently chosen as a First Round U.S. GRAMMY® 2025 nominee for Latin Pop. Together Martínez and Alabedra compose and perform Flamenco/Latin Fusion music with their extended band and family of musicians and dancers.
