The Jackson Memorial Library will host an opening reception for its December show, “Paula Horton: Favorite Hobbies.” Light refreshments will be provided.

"Favorite Hobbies" includes everyday items hand painted to reflect the artist’s favorite hobbies: “Reading, gardening, painting, and a nice glass of wine,” explains Paula Horton. Paula hand paints bottles with floral and nature designs, adding lights to create a lamp that is perfect for a cozy reading nook or to add a soft glow to a room. She has been painting since 2005, and explains now that she’s retired, she “has the gift of time to enjoy my hobbies.”
