New Nature Art Exhibit at Maine Coastal Islands
New Nature Art Exhibit at Maine Coastal Islands
Maine Coastal Islands Art Gallery features three shows looking at our natural environment through the lens of a variety of art techniques. This art show will be on display through the winter at the Maine Coastal Islands NWR Visitor Center, 9 Water St. in Rockland.
The three shows feature:
Brandon Simpson, Camden – A local artist and photographer who explores the nature of coastal Maine through the lens of vintage Polaroid film cameras.
Sandi Cirillo, Searsport - A fiber/mixed media artist who uses the process of solar plate etchings. She showcases the beauty that is all around us through her images of special places that she has visited in our great state.
Artists of Midcoast Maine – Perspectives of the Gulf of Maine, Coastal Wildlife and Winter.” Twelve artists provide a rich, diverse exhibit on the beauty of our coast.
The galleries will be open to visitors through the winter, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except holidays. We have extended hours on Saturday, December 4th and 11th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All art sales support both the artists and the Friends’ group.
