April Vacation Week at the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine

The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine offers the ideal destination for indoor, educational fun during April Vacation Week. Unleash your energy in the indoor climber, enjoy a captivating theatrical performance in Maddy’s Theatre, engage in creative activities in MakerSpace, or encounter real ocean and freshwater creatures from the Maine watershed.Visits run in three-hour sessions from 9 am to 4 pm each day.New this year: CMTM will be open on Tuesday during April Vacation Week! Please note that on Tuesday, From the Mountains to the Sea, CMTM's aquarium exhibit, will not be open due to creature care.Each day highlights a variety of educational activities in addition to exploring the exhibits.Check the chalkboard upon arrival for program times.

In this workshop you can create any shape you wish using a hammer. We will cover cutting or sawing, filing, shaping, hammering, annealing, and soldering.
$99 workshop fee does not include materials.
The materials kit ranges from $10 for copper or brass and $20 for sterling silver and can be purchased from the instructor at the beginning of the workshop. Please bring cash to pay for the kit.
(For safety, be sure to wear closed toe shoes and have long hair pulled back with clips or in a ponytail.)
We will have an hour break for lunch between Noon-1pm. The studio will be closed during this break, but there are nearby parks where you can eat lunch if you brought your own, or you can check out one of the local restaurants in the area.
Open to adults only. Please contact us directly if you are interested in seeing metalsmithing options for teens.
About the instructor: Pamela Bosco started Bosco Jewelry in 2000 while on Peaks Island. She also worked with well-known goldsmith Sam Shaw for four years.
Join us for a cozy quilting retreat as we enjoy three days of sewing, relaxing and sharing by the ocean!
This is your chance to sew for 3 uninterrupted days with quilters who love returning to Ferry Beach joined with newcomers as well! Bring your own projects to work on in the company of beloved quilters. Large tables, design walls, cutting and ironing stations will be provided.
Lodging and meals included. Check in is on Thursday afternoon and check out mid-day Sunday.
This all-levels class will cover techniques for combining media such as ink, watercolor, gouache, pencil, and oil pastel for vibrantly layered compositions with rich textures and depth. Students will put color theory principles into practice by learning approaches for inverting and mixing colors in their composition, and explore innovative approaches to mark-making.

Tai Chi in the Amphitheatre. Join instructor Anna Dembska for tai chi classes by donation for all levels. A portion of the donations collected will benefit the Camden Public Library.
