Join Casco Bay Artisans and artist Joyce Ellen Weinstein as we welcome back the light at the Winter Solstice with a talk about her latest body of work inspired by the Torah. Free and open to the public.

Tour-goers must be 21 or older. Infant-wearing is welcome - the tour path through our manufacturing plant is not suitable for young children or strollers.

Guests who are not drinking beer can purchase a Designated Driver ticket and will have a choice of NA beverage.

Dogs are not allowed on this manufacturing plant tour.

Featuring familiar actors and many of Maine's talented youth actors, this tale will delight audiences of all ages. Join us as Scrooge goes on a journey of reflection and reclamation as he learns what it means to give to others. This is an uplifting treat to add to all holiday traditions!

The Maine Irish Heritage Center is bringing the cherished Irish tradition of storytelling to Maine this winter! We will have warm drinks, and the light in the Great Hall on the Solstice is incredible – watch the Stained Glass come to life as we share stories with each other!

In days gone by neighbors would gather at night in the local ceili house, the home of a storyteller. They came for conversation, and to hear stories of their community, its history, old tales handed down by the ancestors, some music. These gatherings helped build community and preserve the culture and values of the Irish people.

We invite you to join us this Solstice in the Great Hall! Bring a story, a poem, a song, or simply come to listen and enjoy an evening among friends—or friends-in-the-making.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL
DECEMBER 4-23 (Thu 7pm, Fri 7:30pm, Sat 2pm, Sun 2pm... Mon & Tue, Dec 22nd & 23rd, 7pm)
Step into the magic of the season with this thrilling, live stage production of Dickens’, A Christmas Carol! Join the ghosts of Marley, Christmas Past, Present, and Future as they lead the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on a life changing journey. Starring award-winning actor Michael J. Tobin, this hauntingly unique production is full of immersive special effects, music, and the magic and joy of the Dickens holiday classic like you’ve never experienced it before. A haunting, heartwarming holiday must-see for the whole family!

The lantern workshop will be in the Logan Stage area of Johnson Hall from 2pm till the Parade begins at 4pm. We will then parade to the Gardiner waterfront. There will be Dancing witches and a dance tutorial, there will be firepits with Hot Chocolate and s'mores. We will throw our grievances and intentions into the fire. Hopefully the sky will darken enough for some astronomy, and we will celebrate not only the longest night but the returning Light! Celebrating the warmth of community and he circle of the seasons.

A holiday tradition for all ages, Bangor Symphony Orchestra proudly presents the annual production of The Nutcracker with the Robinson Ballet and Bangor Area Youth Choirs. Beloved by audiences throughout Maine, please join us for a magical afternoon as Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and the Nutcracker grace the stage of the Collins Center for the Arts as the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, Bangor Area Youth Choirs, and Music Director and GRAMMY-award winning Conductor Lucas Richman bring Tchaikovsky’s score to life. Arrive early to shop at the BSO’s Nutcracker Store, offering a variety of holiday gifts, Nutcrackers, and treats.
