PORTLAND, Maine - A 20-year-old Portland man who recorded boys using public bathrooms has been sentenced to six years in prison for child pornography.
A federal judge imposed the sentence Monday on Anthony Thea, who pleaded guilty in January after acknowledging he shared child pornography and used his cellphone to record children in bathrooms.
Investigators found about 80 secretly made digital recordings of boys using restrooms. Investigators said he also had more than 2,600 still images and more than 900 video images of child porn on his computer.
Special Agent in Charge Bruce Foucart said the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations New England will continue working "to aggressively target criminals who prey on the most vulnerable members of society.''
Thea's attorney didn't return a call seeking comment.
