RANGELEY, Maine — A Maine ski resort that is closed and up for sale is offering a refund to season pass holders.
The family that owns the resort announced Friday that it remains hopeful of a deal that'll allow the resort to open in late January.
The resort said options for season pass holders include getting a credit bonus, converting the season pass into a gift card or obtaining a full refund.
The resort outlined the options because the resort will be closed on the traditional opening day, which is normally the Saturday before Christmas.
Owner Mark Berry said previously that the resort would close if it could not replace a 51-year-old double chairlift with a faster, modern four-person lift. Since then there have been discussions with several buyers.
