The nation's Republican governors - current and newly-elected - are at the annual meeting of the Republican Governors Association in Boca Raton, Florida, including Maine Gov. Paul LePage.
"My role's probably going to be on welfare reform, I think," LePage says. "I think they are looking to us to identify what welfare reform is going to look like in the future, and many of the governors have been asking."
LePage says a lot of the two-day meeting will be orientation for newly-elected governors, but he also plans to spend some time working on policy areas like energy.
LePage says he and Massachusetts Gov.-elect Charlie Baker have talked on the phone and will continue discussions at the RGA meeting about increasing the amount of natural gas coming into the region.
