Police Investigating Triple Death in Garland

GARLAND, Maine_ UPDATED 15:06 - Maine State Police are investigating the suspicious deaths of a woman and two children in the Penobscot County town of Garland.
According to State Police spokesman Steve McCausland, the three  bodies were discovered by relatives, inside a mobile home on Paul Road, Saturday night shortly before 10:00 PM. The bodies are those of an adult female, and a young girl and boy.

MPBN has learned the names of the victims, but is currently withholding the information, pending notification of family.

A man, 27 year old Keith Coleman, is still being sought for questioning in connection with the deaths. According to McCausland, Coleman was the deceased woman's boyfriend, and had been living at the trailer for the last several weeks. He has not been seen since Saturday night.

"We need to talk to him obviously," says McCausland "to get an update from him as to his well being, but we have to locate him first and we've asked the public for help."

According to a family member of the deceased, and a former partner of Coleman's, the missing man has a history of mental illness. According to the witness, Coleman is originally from Long Island, NY and had at one time been served with a restraining order for allegedly threatening to kill the victim's sister and her family. According to the same source, police were called to the Paul Rd address in 2010 after Coleman began harming himself with a knife.

Coleman is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, 190 pounds, and was last seen driving a tan 2006 Dodge Caravan with Minnesota plates, either UUY473 or 063NCG.  He was last seen in the Bangor area.

McCausland says the bodies will be sent to the State Medical Examiner's office for positive identification and cause of death.
