Garland Man Charged With 3 Murders to Appear in Court Today

BANGOR, Maine — A Maine man charged with killing his girlfriend and her two children is set to make an initial court appearance in Bangor.

A spokesman for the Maine attorney general says 27-year-old Keith Coleman of Garland will appear at Penobscot Judicial Center in Bangor at 2 p.m. on Monday. He faces three counts of murder in the deaths of 36-year-old Christina Sargent, her 10-year-old son Duwayne Coke, and her 8-year-old daughter, Destiny Sargent. State police say their bodies were found in the mobile home they shared.

An autopsy of the mother and children is expected to be completed Monday afternoon. Penobscot County sheriff's deputies discovered the bodies on Saturday after they had been alerted by worried relatives.

The attorney general's office said it is unclear whether Coleman has an attorney.
