AUGUSTA, Maine - The former president of a small liberal arts college in Maryland has been tapped to lead the University of Maine at Augusta.
James Conneely says UMA is building a national reputation as a leader in helping students achieve, regardless of age, background or where they live.
"I believe I bring to this position skills and experiences specific to UMA's mission and initiative, especially regarding outreach to veterans, first generation and non-traditional populations."
The position became vacant when UMA President Glenn Cummings left to become president of the University of Southern Maine. Conneely begins at UMA Jan. 19.
