ROCKLAND, Maine — Rockland City Manager James Chaousis says he's investigating the conduct of multiple city employees.
As part of the probe, the Portland Press Herald and the Bangor Daily News are reporting that the employees computers have been seized and searched.
The Rockland City Council held a special meeting on Saturday to discuss the probe and spent three hours in executive session with Chaousis, who is saying little about the investigation.
"We wouldn't comment on personnel," Chaousis said. "There is the privacy of the employee and there is the benefit of the doubt that the employee is doing their job, even when the investigation is being launched."
Chaousis says more information on the probe will eventually become available to the public.
