A man from Merrimack, New Hampshire was shot and killed by a police officer in Old Town early Thursday morning.

Police department officials have released few details, but did confirm that 37-year-old Adrian Bunker was killed in an armed confrontation. Bunker was driving a gray Silverado pickup truck when he was pulled over by Officer Joseph Decoteau around 3:30 a.m.

According to the Old Town Police Department's Facebook page, Decoteau graduated from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in May of this year. He has been placed on leave while the Maine Attorney General's office investigates the shooting.
