Be a Firefly
Be a firefly
use this meadow
these times, this gloaming
to be revealed
Be a firefly
Find your sunny yellow, your
new green or pale red just as
twilight tries to extinguish you
Instead, fly. Keep flying
into it, through it, around it
in the comforting company
of your abundant, glowing kin
Embrace your birthright:
the little glowworms need
your supportive pulsing,
flashing, attracting, deflecting
Be a firefly, alight
trustingly on branch or hand
with the innocent fearlessness
of the naturally luminescent
Rest here.
