LACONIA, N.H. - The New England Patriots aren't saying much about safety Patrick Chung's indictment on a drug charge in New Hampshire or whether he's playing.A Belknap County grand jury indicted the 32-year-old Chung on Aug. 8. Authorities say Chung knowingly possessed cocaine on June 25 while in Meredith.
The Patriots tweeted Thursday that the team is aware of the reports about Chung but that "we will not be commenting while his judicial proceedings take place."
It wasn't known if Chung would play Thursday night at a preseason home game against the Carolina Panthers.
A spokesperson for the Patriots didn't return a call seeking comment, and the voicemail box for Chung's agent was full.
