One of our missions at Blue Raven Gallery is to continue to offer the community the rich tradition of spoken word, and this year's lineup is sure to do just that.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday June 25th, because we have two incredible poets joining us for an unforgettable evening.

We are honored to welcome Garrett Hongo and Lauren K. Watel to the gallery. Get ready to be moved, and inspired by their words.

Garrett Hongo is a renowned poet and author known for his powerful explorations of identity, culture, and history. His works have been published in numerous collections and have received The Lamont Poetry Prize as well a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. Hongo's new poetry collection, Ocean of Clouds was just released with his new title poem published in The New yorker Magazine June 9th, 2025, issue. We cannot wait to hear his words come alive on our stage.

Joining him is the talented Lauren K. Watel, whose work has been described as "lyrical" and "fable like". She has won several awards for her poetry, including the prestigious Kathryn A. Morton Poetry Prize. Her words will surely leave a lasting impression on all who attend.

As always, our event will take place at Blue Raven Gallery, which provides an intimate setting four our audience to connect with each reader. Join us on Wednesday, June 25th at 7 PM.
