Celebrate Pride Month with "How Sweet It Is: Stories of Queer Joy & Resilience" (dessert potluck!)
Get ready for an evening of heartwarming stories and delicious treats! The Corner and Great Falls Pride are thrilled to present "How Sweet It Is: Stories of Queer Joy & Resilience," a special storytelling event and dessert potluck celebrating Pride Month. Join us on Thursday, June 5th, at 7:00 PM at L/A Arts in Lewiston for this free community gathering.
This uplifting evening will feature acclaimed author and pastry chef Justin Burke, whose new book, Potluck Desserts: Joyful Recipes to Share with Pride, is already inspiring bakers nationwide. Burke, a nationally recognized food writer and award-winning pastry chef, will share his personal story and insights into the power of food and community.
In addition to Burke's story, local members of the queer community are invited to share their own tales of resilience and joy. Come to The Corner: Come listen. Come tell. Show your pride! Attendees are encouraged to bring a dessert to share for the potluck and will have the opportunity to sample some of Burke’s “far from ordinary” desserts. The author will be signing copies of his book, which will be available for purchase at the event.
