ABOUT THE ARTIST
Vincente Spadafora (vin-cent spa-da-for-a) is a visual artist who transcribes scenes of impermanence through photography. In chance encounters, the ephemeral quality of nature contrasts our built landscapes creating a new dialog and sense of comfort. Color, ritual and repeating characters (i.e. seagulls and traffic cones) make important appearances in the work. Spadafora lives on a small farm in Mid Coast Maine and travels throughout the state searching for images.
Spadafora’s work has been shown at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Old 77 Hotel, the Bakery Photo Collective, Sidle House Gallery, Katzman Contemporary, the Hubbell Brach Library and various online publications including Noice Mag, Ambient Nights, and Broad Magazine.
Library Hours: M, Tu, Th, F, Sa 9:30 - 5:30, W 11:00 - 8:00, closed Sundays
