9th Annual Guild Fine Craft Show: Brunswick - shop 40 fine craft exhibitor booths within the beautiful and historic halls of Fort Andross Mill Complex overlooking the Androscoggin River. Guild Fine Craft Shows feature exquisite fine craft designs for special occasions and everyday use handmade by the juried Guild level members of Maine Crafts Association. The Guild shows are a well-established artist marketplace welcoming the public to see, collect and learn about the highest quality craft objects made by a membership of dedicated, talented and trained craft artists.

The Lewiston Public Library will be offering drop-in Preschool Playdates from 10:30am-12:30pm on Saturdays* in the Children’s program room.
*(The Library will be closed on Saturday, 8/30 in observance of Labor Day & Saturday, 11/29 in observance of Thanksgiving.)

Drop-in and join us for Preschool Playdates! Preschoolers and their families are invited to stop in during our Preschool Playdates to engage in imaginative play and build friendships. A variety of toys, games, and crafts will be available during all sessions.

The programs will take place in the Children’s Program Room on the 3rd floor.

The programs are free and there is no registration required. All families with children between the ages of 2-6 are welcome to attend. Siblings are also welcome.

The Lewiston Public Library is located downtown at 200 Lisbon Street at the corner of Pine Street. For more information on children’s programming contact the Children’s Department at 513-3133 or LPLKids@lewistonmaine.gov.

Kick off the holiday season with some family fun at the fourth annual Burgundar Faire! Attendees will be able to enjoy performances and demonstrations, shop at the vendor tables, learn about local LARP games, and participate in a variety of activities.

Admission: Tickets are $10, or $5 for children under 12
Past Demonstrations included the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism, the Portland Reavers, and live blacksmithing!

Join instructor Kristin Fuhrmann-Simmons for a special, Halloween-themed watercolor workshop. Inspired by York’s rich nautical history, you’ll paint a Ghost Ship in a Bottle—a haunting tribute to seafaring legends and maritime lore.

Prior experience is optional, so whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned artist, this workshop is for you! We will guide you step-by-step, teaching you various techniques to create a ghost ship in a bottle.

Touchy Subject Duo, is a young local group with Emma Derhak on vocals and Francis Costin on the piano. Their original music is upbeat and relatable, playing genres like Americana/blues/rock and much more! Come listen to the music, dance, and grab a drink!

8/16 Seth Gallant
Seth grew up in a mill town in rural Western Maine to a family that played music on the front porch at almost any occasion. These traditions of folk, country, and Acadian music would shape the songs he writes and performs today. Gallant is set to release a new album in 2025, a collection of songs that celebrate simplicity in rural living. This will be his second full length album. Alongside recording and releasing music, he has preformed throughout New England and the northeast since 2021.
