Maine Drug Agents Dismantle Meth Lab in Linneus

LINNEUS, Maine - Maine drug agents have dismantled what they say was a methamphetamine lab in a house in the Aroostook County town of Linneus.

State public safety officials say agents wearing protective suits and breathing equipment dismantled the lab Thursday night, with help from the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office, the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and the Linneus Fire Department.

A man and woman live the mobile home, along with the woman's four-year-old child. Drug agents questioned the couple, authorities say, but no one has yet been charged in connection with the meth lab.

A resident of the house was arrested on a bail violation for a previous meth arrest, and a woman visiting the home was charged with meth possession.

Authorities identified them as Alan Gilotti, 28, who lives at the home and was out on bail on a previous charge of trafficking in methamphetamine, and 28-year-old Nicole Hall, who was charged with possessing meth.

Both were taken to the Aroostook County Jail. The woman who lives at the home with her daughter has not been charged.

Authorities say it's the eighth meth lab discovered in Maine so far this year.
