Open enrollment for health insurance on the Affordable Care Act’s marketplace ends in just a few days, on Tuesday, Dec. 15.
Gov. Janet Mills is urging Mainers who need coverage to explore their options. Average individual premiums are 13 percent lower this year, and Mills says many people qualify for subsidies.
“Sixty percent will be able to find a plan for under $75 a month,” she says.
People with incomes between 139% and 400% of the federal poverty level qualify for reduced premiums.
